Each year the ECCAFV works with the NYS Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and many other DV programs throughout the State to "Shine a Light on Domestic Violence" by asking workplaces, businesses, schools, etc. to "Go Violet" for one day in October.
On Wednesday, October 16, 2013, the ECCAFV is asking everyone throughout Erie County to wear purple and post information about domestic violence in their schools and workplaces. In addition, the ECCAFV is hosting a PURPLE DECORATION CONTEST for schools & businesses throughout Erie County. These small actions help to increase awareness of the issues of domestic violence and create a safe space for victims to reach out for help if they are in need. Together we can shine the light on domestic violence and bring peace to our communities!!!
